Desert Treasure Guide

Items needed: Lots of Shantay passes (or Camulet; if you have completed 'Enakhra's Lament'), 650gp, 12 Magic logs, 6 Steel bars, 6 Molten glass, Ashes, Charcoal, 1 Blood rune, Regular bones, Chocolate Cake, Super restore potions, Spiked boots, Climbing boots (Only if you haven't completed Eadgars Ruse or if you have completed it but do not have a magic level of 61 or higher), Garlic, Many Lockpicks, 1 Silver bar, Spice, Pestle and mortar, Facemask, Tinderbox, Ice gloves (Only if you wish to use a weapon agianst Fareed), Waterskins, Knife, and Energy potions. Food and Prayer Potions are needed ALOT throughout the quest.

Requirements: Level 10 Slayer, Level 50 Firemaking, Level 50 Magic, Level 53 Thieving, A high agility level will be a distinct advantage and be able to defeat extremely tough enemies above level 150.

1. To start the quest talk to the archeologist is the bedabin camp in the Al-Kharid desert. He will talk about his being a famous archeologist...WARNING this quest is long and challenging, I would reccommend 80 combat or higher. Once he tells you about a stone tablet he found he will ask you to take it up to terry balando, the archaological expert in the digsite building. Use the stone tablet on him to have it identified. Wait for about a minute then talk to him again. He will give you the translation notes. Take these to the bedabin camp and talk to the same person. He will offer you a 50 percent share if you help him find a treasure,agree and you are on your way.

2. Go south into the bandit camp. Go into the bar and buy a beer for 650gp. After you have bought something ask him about the diamonds of Azzandra. He will let slip some information, go across to a tent and talk to a man named Eblis about the diamonds. He will ask you to get 12 magic logs, 6 steel bars, 6 steel bars, ashes, charcoal 1 blood rune and regular bones. Bring him these items, use them with him and he will tell you to meet him a bit east. Head south east a bit and you will find Eblis standing around. Talk to him.

3. He will tell you to look through the mirrors to find the location of the diamonds and the warriors guarding them. There are 4 diamonds and 6 mirrors, if you are using this guide you should not have a problem.

DAMIS:
1. Damis is the second hardest enemy in desert treasure. To defeat him all you need is around 100 lockpicks, around 10 anti poisons and ring of visibility that is obtained in the quest. North of west ardogoune is a merchant named Rasalo, find him and and talk to him about the diamonds. He will tell you he has lost his gilded cross and if you find it for him he will give you the ring of visibility. Head to the Bandit Camp in Al-Kharid desert with 2 anti poisons and 26 lockpicks. They are not stackable. This part can get frustrating but stick at it, I find thinking of the reward helps. Anyway in the south west of the Bandit Camp is a tent with a chest in it. Use the lockpicks and try to unlock the chest. There are3 locks, every lockpick will attempt each 1 of the 3. Keep doing this banking if you run out of lockpicks and banking for lockpicks and antis at the shantay pass. When you open and search it you will get the gilded cross, take this back to Rasalo.

2. Congratulations, that was probably quite frustrating. Rasolo will give you the ring of visibility, now bank and get these items - for food you must use sharks, ok take out your best maging gear because you must not melee damis he will quite easily kill you, ok put those on and take 5-6 prayer potions and fill the rest with sharks. Damis's second form drains prayer very rapidly so here is what you should do when fighting him.

3. To find him go west of Rasolo into a fenced park wearing the ring of visibility. There should be a ladder, kinda transperant. Climb down and work you way to Damis on the East side of the map.

If you look closely in the north west corner of the room he's in there is a tunnel. Try and get him stuck on a rat. You do not need to do this but it certainly helps, use prayer pots when needed and it goes the same for food. Taking prayer off is deadly. Once you defeat him take the shadow diamond he drops, congratulations he is very challenging.

note: When carrying a diamond in the quest a lvl 95 stranger with a dragon dagger super might attack you, you can kill him or run.

KAMIL:
1. The items needed for Kamil are spiked boots, climbing boots, a cake, around 6 super restore potions, around 4 prayer potions and once again sharks.

2. Withdraw the cake and wear climbing boots, take around 3-6 super restores, runes for fire blast and around 2-4 prayer pots and sharks.

Using world map work your way up to the Troll child, he will be crying. Use the cake on him and he will cheer up, talk to him and he will say the bad man froze his parents because they stole his diamond.

3. After you have talked to him slip through the ice gate. Kill 5 Ice Trolls and a cave on the other side will open for you. WARNING: after you kill them bank and withdraw these items; runes and mage gear for about 150 fire blasts just in case, 4 prayer potions, 5 super restores, and sharks for the rest of your inventory. Enter the cave and you will appear on the other side, keep walking. When you see Ice Wolves run through them with prayer ON this is crucial. When you are past them in a big open area Kamil will appear. Use protect from melee even though he uses melee and magik, his ice barrage maxes five while he hit around 30 with his melee against me. When you kill him bank and take spiked boots and restock.

4. Head back to where Kamil was but head west until you come upon an ice path. Wear your spiked boots and continure until you come upon 2 trolls in ice. Break them out of the blocks, they only have 10hp. They will teleport you out and the troll child will give you the diamond, he had it the whole time. Congratulations!

DESSOUS:
1. Go to Canifis pub and talk to Malak the Vampire. Agree to kill Dessous for the blood diamond, withdraw a steel bar and take it to Ruanton in Draynor Dungeon. Ask him to make it into a pot for you. Make sure you only have the pot and take it to the high monk on Entrana. Ask him to bless it for you.

2. Head back to Canifis with the pot, garlic, spice and pestle and mortar, talk to him and he will hit you for 5 to fill the pot with blood. Crush the garlic with the pestle and mortar and add it in, add the spice and you should be ready.

3. Bank and take out mage or melee gear equipment, then withdraw around 3 prayer pots and fill the rest of your inventory with sharks.

If you've completed in Aid of the Myreque use the short-cut, if not you will need to take the longer route. When you get to the tomb use the pot on the tomb. WARNING: He teleports to you if you run, if he does this 3 times you have to do it all again. Kill him and talk to Malak, he will give you the blood diamond - Congratulations.

FAREED:
1. By far the easiest. Take Dragonhide armour and ALL runes for a spell unless you have completed heroes and wear ice gloves, otherwise you can use a weapon. Also wear a facemask obtained from slayer shops, also take a tinderbox, sharks and prayer potions - around 3 and around 5 energy pots for lighting torches. West of Pollvineach is a dusty well, enter WITH YOUR MASK ON, try to open a chest in a big room.

It will say you must light the way, in each corner of the dungeon is a torch. Light them with you tinderbox, they will go out if you are not quick enough so use energy potions to run between the torches.

2. When they are all lit quickly get a key from the chest. This will open the gate to Fareed. Kill him and you will automatically get the smoke diamond congratulations you have ALL the diamonds!

THE TEMPLE:
1. Take boots of lightness from the Temple of Ikov quest, wear them and take the 4 diamonds around 15 energy potions, around 3 prayer potions and around 1-3 sharks.

Sorry I can't find a map for the temple. You shouldnt have to much trouble. There is 4 levels, use pryaer the whole time and occasionally a trap will tele you outside the temple. When you reach the middle talk to Azzandra, he will teach you ancient magiks. Congratulations!
